CFI Spin Training: What You May Not Have Learned

Presenters: Mark King & Karen Kalishek

Host: Aaron Dabney

Description

For many of us, a quick briefing followed by a couple spins in a Skyhawk constitutes the whole of our 14 CFR 61.183 spin training. While that training is compliant (maybe), how much do we really know about the aerodynamics of the stall and spin?  How confident are we in our ability to handle unanticipated spins in our real-world flying? What's more, are we passing down accurate information or half-truths and assumptions to our learners?

Join Master Aerobatic Instructor Mark King and his special guest, NAFI Chair and DPE Karen Kalishek, for a discussion on stalls, spins, and the many opportunities for improvement our profession has in teaching these areas. What you don't know, can hurt you and your learners. What you do know, will help you rise above the crowd.
