Airlines and business aviation operators have long recognized the benefits of analyzing trends in flight data to enhance safety and improve operational efficiency. Similarly, flight schools are leveraging both the ForeFlight EFB and CloudAhoy's Flight Data Analysis (FDA) to review training flights, monitor safety issues, and track trends over time. This system not only increases the efficiency of individual instructor debrief sessions, but also allows the organization to focus training on actual flying data.
In this session of MentorLIVE, join us for a demonstration of how leading flight schools are using the FDA to collect data, monitor the safety health of their organization, and efficiently train the next generation of business and commercial pilots.
Ryan Bohlander is an Account Executive focusing on ForeFlight’s Education programs providing support to universities, colleges, and flight schools around the world.
Growing up with aviators in the family, Ryan dreamt of becoming a test pilot like his childhood idol Chuck Yeager from ‘The Right Stuff’. While the Bell X-1 wasn't in the cards, Ryan achieved his dream of becoming a CFI and has a deep passion for sharing his love of aviation with his students.
In his free time, Ryan loves to provide flight instruction as a CFI over the warm desert south of Chandler, Arizona.

He has provided more than 5,000 hours of instruction in more than 30 models of aircraft, mentoring pilots from their first hour through becoming accomplished instructors themselves, and all points in between.
Dabney grew up in an aviation family. His maternal grandfather Joe was a World War II fighter pilot, and much of his childhood was spent in the family J-3 Cub with his grandfather or his uncle Mark. Aaron completed his first solo in that Cub in 1999 and is now its caretaker.
A 6-time NAFI Master Flight Instructor, Aaron serves as a lecturer with the Baylor University Institute for Aviation Sciences and provides independent instruction services through his own small flight school. He serves on NAFI's Board of Directors and as well as in several volunteer roles including coordinating MentorLIVE.
