Grab your shamrock shakes and join us on St. Patrick’s Day for a review of the signs, markings and lighting that provide visual cues for remaining safe when operating near the runway surface area (RSA). We’ll also review real-life examples of runway incursions, the Flight Standards Compliance Program and provide resources to help you understand next steps if this happens to you or a student that you have endorsed.
We need your help creating awareness and spreading the word to keep surface safety a trained skill. Teaching students of all certification levels, as well as when performing flight reviews, we must ensure that every pilot operating an aircraft has a clear working knowledge and understanding of proper taxi techniques. Let’s work together to improve runway safety change the data, and not rely on a lucky break!
