Susan Parson is an active general aviation pilot and Master instructor and serves as Special Assistant, FAA Flight Standards Service, is editor of FAA Safety Briefing magazine, and lead on the ACS project.
She holds an ATP certificate, ground and flight instructor certificates with instrument, single engine, and multi-engine land ratings. She instructs for her Leesburg-based C182 flying club and the Civil Air Patrol. Susan authored several online training courses and over 80 GA safety articles.
Phil Poynor is a past NAFI board chair and current NAFI V.P. of Government and Industry Affairs. Phil represents NAFI on the FAA/Industry Airman Certification Standards Working Group, the FAA - General Aviation Joint Steering Committee and FAA Aviation Rulemaking Advisory.
