Susan Parson is an active general aviation pilot and Master instructor and serves as Special Assistant, FAA Flight Standards Service, is editor of FAA Safety Briefing magazine, and lead on the ACS project.
She holds an ATP certificate, ground and flight instructor certificates with instrument, single engine, and multi-engine land ratings. She instructs for her Leesburg-based C182 flying club and the Civil Air Patrol. Susan authored several online training courses and over 80 GA safety articles.
Paul Preidecker is president of the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI). He retired from Air Wisconsin Airlines where he held the position of chief flight instructor and captain. He has logged over 8,000 hours, holds an ATP certificate and type ratings in the CL-65, Do-328 and LR-JET. Paul has been an invited speaker at the NTSB, Regional Airline Association, and the World Aviation Training Summit.
Paul has also served on a FAA Aviation Rulemaking Committee. Paul is president of his own company, FlightDeck Insights, where he provides aviation education and consulting services to his clients.
